Next Appointment...

...is Thursday 2/28 @ 3pm. At that point I should be somewhere around 4 months or 16-17 weeks along. I don't know what we're doing at that one. I'm can't keep up with all the medical terms & baby jargon. Some kind of check up, I suppose.

At the last appointment we also discovered that the baby is measuring 5 days further along that I thought I was. So I am actually 12 weeks tomorrow instead of next Thursday, which moves my due date up to 8/9/08 instead of 8/15/08. That's actually a good thing cause I was having second thoughts about sharing my birthday with the little one =) I think it'd be good to have our own days for celebrating each others lives =)

Hi Yvette! My name is Megan Pool- wife of Jim on the trip with Ramon. I am so overjoyed at your pregnancy and will be praying for your child! I have a 5 year old Elijah and a two year old named Esther and a 15 month old named Eden. I am also praying for our husbands. Ramon seems awesome and I think that he and Jim will get along quite well. Blessings and peace, Megan

Hi Yvette- Megan Pool here... wife of Jim that went to Ethiopia with Ramon. I am curious if you have heard from them? I am anxious to know if they all arrived safely. Any info would be great! Blessings and congrats on your new baby! Megan

hi megan, nice to meet u! yes, they arrived safely and were on their way to pick up other members of the team when i last heard from them. the satellite phone that they took with them to call & stay in touch with home was not working well - ramon got cut off several times, and eventually we just stopped trying. he & i will hopefully email more than talk on the phone to cut down frustration, but i know he also said that their email was down when they got there all day. so...we'll have to see what becomes of the communication thing! hopefully u will read this comment, i am not sure how else to contact u...& thanks for the prayers for the guys & for our baby. we are very excited to meet the little one in several months! =) i agree that jim & ramon will be best of buds over there. let's keep praying for that =)

Hi Yvette- I am holding it together really well as Jim's mom is here to help me- otherwise it would be REALLY hard! Myself and two of the kids had the stomach flu over the weekend and I am so thankful that JIm's mom was here! But, it has been good. The time has gone by quickly and now they are coming home in two days! I can't wait to see Jim. I have had two short phone chats with Jim and it sounds like the trip has been great in every respect. I was jealous that they got to go to an Ethiopian coffee ceremony. You have been there as well correct? Well, kids will be waking up and I should pray! Blessings, Megan
